Karen Hernandez, CHW, BSPH

As a community health worker, my passion lies in improving the health and well-being of individuals and communities. I am dedicated to helping people access the resources and support they need to lead healthy, fulfilling lives. I believe that health is not just the absence of disease, but a state of physical, mental, and social well-being. I am committed to working with communities to address the social determinants of health, including poverty, lack of education, and inadequate access to healthcare. I have a strong background in community outreach and engagement, and I am skilled in building relationships and trust with diverse populations. I am fluent in multiple languages and have experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse communities. My approach to community health work is collaborative and client-centered. I believe that each person has unique needs and strengths, and that the most effective interventions are tailored to the individual. I am committed to empowering people to take control of their health and make informed decisions about their care.
