Arneta Finney, PhD, APRN, FNP-C, DAPWHc, CNL, PHN, WCC, WOCN, LPHA

Dr. Arneta Finney is the Lead Project Manager with National University Nurse Managed Clinic in Los Angeles, Ca. She Serves as the Co-PI for the HRSA funded mobile health training program, which was awarded $4 million dollars over 4 years to increase the diversity of the nursing workforce and to deliver primary care serves to vulnerable population and she has been able to provide services to over 900 patients in the San Diego and Los Angeles area to date. Her clinical practice focuses on primary care and prevention.

Dr. Finney completed her post master’s certificate training for Family Nurse Practitioner through Charles R. Drew University School of Medicine and Science, her Master of Science in Nursing Degree with a focus in education from Mount Saint Mary’s University in Los Angeles, California, and her Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing degree at University of California Los Angeles. 

Dr. Finney is nationally certified as an advanced practice nurse practitioner and able to independently practice in the state of California without a collaborating physician. In addition, she holds national certification in advance wound care providing advance treatments in wound and skin care.

Dr. Finney has received numerous awards and accolades for her exceptional clinical practice and dedication to the nursing profession including Edge Runner Award recipient by the American Academy of Nursing. 

Dr. Finney has been instrumental in moving national university into the 21st century with virtual simulation by providing online training to faculty and students in simulated settings designed to support person-centered care.

 Dr. Finney holds several Board Certifications and Credentials in her field and has presented at national and international conferences and is currently the president of Sigma Theta Tau Xi Theta chapter.
